2014 Great Yorkshire – Sunday 14 November 2014

The 2014 Great Yorkshire Pork Pie, Sausage & Products Competition is being held once again at Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford, on Sunday 16 November. The event remains the UK's biggest regional meat trades competition, with entries from independent retail butchers, farm shops and bakers who make pies on their own premises

There are classes for different types of pork pie (traditional, stand and speciality cold eating), as well as for sausages (thin, thick and speciality), and black pudding.

Managing Director of 2020 Research Bob Peters is extremely pleased to be returning as one of the judges. “I thoroughly enjoyed the event last year, and am endebted to Ted Jones for his guidance in telling me the key factors to look for when judging a pork pie. The quality standards last year were extremely high, and reflected very well on the quality of our regional products. I am eagerly looking forward to this year’s competition”.
